However, the traditional values of herbal remedies are well known, and information may be obtained from books, leaflets and the internet. We are also able to give you limited information about our products. Purchases made from our website:
In the interest of hygiene, purchases made from our website are non-refundable unless damaged or lost in transit. In the eventuality you find yourself in this situation, please send a photograph of the damaged goods, or report the missing product to us at the soonest opportunity. In these instances we are happy to offer a refund, or replace your goods. Please refer to our refunds and exchanges policy for more information.
Because our products are made in small hand-made batches, it may not always be possible to post your order on the same day it is placed. However, we will always endeavour to ship orders within 48 hours of being received online.
UK customers – goods are sent using the Royal Mail second class postal service. Please allow up to 5 working days to receive your order before getting in touch.
Overseas customers – Orders are shipped using the Royal Mail Tracked and Signed Service and are expected to arrive within 5 – 7 working days. Postage costs are made clear at the checkout before your order is placed, and vary according to the weight of the product and your location. Tracking information will be sent via email to let you know when your goods are on their way, allowing you to follow their progress.

Workshops & Plant Walks
All due care is taken to ensure that venues and locations for workshops and events are safe spaces for enjoyment and learning. Although risk assessments are made in advance of every event, as many plant walks and workshops are hosted in an outdoor, rural space, it may not always be possible to identify potential risks such as trip hazards, fallen branches, or flooding. When joining an event, all participants are expected to follow sensible direction and take reasonable steps to ensure their own wellbeing, such as arriving in suitable clothing and bringing water if needed. Full instructions around what to expect (including information about the event location and what to bring) is always sent out via email in advance of the event taking place. More specific information about preparing for rural walks can be found on the Ramblers Association website. Of course if you have any questions at all in regards to the nature of the terrain, please do not hesitate to get in touch before making your booking.
Covid 19 safety measures
The following measures have also been put in place to reduce any risk, and for the safety and comfort of everyone attending our events:
- Weather permitting and where possible, workshops and walks are hosted in an outdoor space.
- Participants must not have any C19 symptoms (vouchers will be issued for any late cancellations due to this. Please see our cancellation policy below.)
- Individual herbal treats are provided in disposable cups. All equipment is sterilised in advance and hand sanitiser is also provided.
- Attendees are required to inform Alchemilla via email if they develop C19 symptoms within 7 days after the event.
If the event is cancelled, ticket holders will be emailed with notification and have the option of receiving either:
- A voucher to the same value as their tickets for use against any future events. Vouchers are valid for 12 months. It is up to voucher holders to rebook future events.
- A full refund
Workshop / Plant walk cancellations policy
Please do not book a space on a workshop or herb walk if you are unsure you will be able to attend.
As group numbers are very small, even if a few people cancel, the event may not be able to go ahead. This is because many events involve the use of equipment, harvested plant materials, and the provision of refreshments which need to be purchased / arranged / gathered in advance. If you are unable to attend, you are welcome to transfer your ticket to another person, or you can request to be issued a credit that can be used for any course or product within the next 12 months. Unfortunately no refunds will be given in the event you are unable to attend.
Please advise us if you are unable to attend so that measures can be taken to fill your space.
Should the event be cancelled by Alchemilla you will be offered a full refund or if you prefer, credit can be held against future events.
