Description

Yin & Tonic herbal tea is a blend of summer flowers with a hint of lemon. It’s delicious drunk hot as a soothing anti-anxiety tea, or even better served as a cold infusion over ice.

The tea is suitable for children over the age of 5, and can be drunk sweetened with honey as a pleasant alternative to sugar laden juice. The herbs can also be steeped in tonic water or lemonade and left to infuse overnight. The result is a “fruity” botanical beverage which makes a delicious alternative to alcohol (but a touch of rum added to the mix tastes pretty good too 🙂 )

The blend contains organic hibiscus flowers which were originally used to brew “sour tea” (also known as Jamaica tea.) The beautiful tropical blooms are a gorgeous deep red colour which turn the infusion pink. However, the pigment is much more than aesthetically pleasing as it also has medicinal value as an anti-inflammatory and cardiovascular tonic.

The tea blend also contains soothing organic chamomile along with rose petals and rosehips to provide a subtle sweetness to counteract the bitter profile. Tangy lemon peel adds a citrus zest to round off this extra special botanical pick me up.
