Description
Zen herbal tea is our most popular tea blend. This soothing mix of calming herbs contains carefully selected botanicals especially chosen for their relaxing properties and pleasant taste.
Chamomile has long had a reputation for soothing frazzled nerves. A great digestive, it’s helpful for nervous tummy upsets and lack of appetite in times of stress. Chamomile is traditionally used to help relieve insomnia and impart a good night’s sleep.
Lemon balm (also known as Melissa) is said to lift the spirits, improve memory, and help tired brains to concentrate. This delightful lemon-scented plant is a relative of the mint family and is a favourite in cottage gardens across the length and breadth of England.
Lavender handles emergencies with military precision. The soothing scent of the flowers has a wonderfully relaxing effect on both mind and body. A common addition to sleep pillows, when drunk as a tea, lavender can help soothe tension headaches and induce a feeling of deep relaxation.
Rose petals have a wonderfully uplifting and restorative effect on the nervous system. In Israel, a tea made from the petals is traditionally used to help lift a low mood, dispel mental fatigue, calm feelings of irritability, anger, and grief, and relieve tension headaches.
This refreshing, pleasant tasting tea makes a deeply soothing tonic which can be drunk at any time to help banish tension and stress. Sip slowly at the onset of anxiety and let the plants work their magic.
Zen herbal tea can also be added to bath water, where the soothing aroma can help ease anxiety and calm the nerves. It also makes a fabulous alternative to pot-pourri. Simply fill a bowl with the dried herbs and leave in a warm space.
A great store cupboard standby for those days when you need a little extra support to restore vitality and balance.

How to Prepare:
Add the dried herbs to a teapot and allow to steep for a few minutes before serving. You’ll need about 1 tablespoon of your herbal tea mix for every 200 ml of water. Taken hot, the therapeutic aroma of the plants adds to its anxiety relieving effect. Served cold, Zen tisane can be drunk as a refreshing beverage on a hot Summer’s day.
Once opened, store your dried tea mix in an airtight container so it’s always on hand ready for use.
Please note that if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or on any medications, please consult with a qualified health professional before ingesting herbal products. Although this product does not contain nuts, it is prepared in a kitchen where nuts are handled.

Delicious gently flavoured tea that my husband loves as much as I do. Has helped me to take a moment away from work (something I find hard) knowing I’m adding to the benefit by using Sarah’s top quality healing herbs too.
